During this time of uncertainty, learn about the extra precautions we are taking to safeguard the health of our Clients and their Caregivers. Read More

A HouseWorks Caregiver is someone you can rely on. They are highly-skilled, compassionate and trustworthy. Each has worked thousands of hours in homes, hospitals and rehabs. What we find truly inspiring is their ability to win over even the most reluctant client.

Our Caregivers get to know their clients so well they can spot the slightest change in mood, behavior, or health and anticipate their needs. To many, our Caregivers become like family.

Skilled & Dependable A HouseWorks Caregiver is:

  • Licensed Certified Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Aide

  • Experienced well above industry norms

  • Insured

  • Extensively background-checked

  • Skills tested & referenced

  • Valid driver’s license & safety record

  • The Difference is Generosity of Spirit

When we hire a caregiver, there’s a factor we look for that can’t be taught. We call it generosity of spirit. It’s the innate ability of a person to share their gifts, talents, and happiness freely, without the expectation of something in return. Caregivers with a generous spirit connect on a deeper level with their clients. It’s what we’d want for our own loved ones and it’s what we’ve continually provided to clients for over 20 years.

What Clients Say

I could not have done this without her. She was perfect. You picked the right one. She was everything I needed.

We Invest In Our People How We Hire

  • Screening & background checks Closed Open

Each Caregiver completes a lengthy screening process prior to being sent into a client’s home. This process includes an initial review of credentials and experience, a phone screening, skills test, two positive business references, a background check, driving record check and evidence of an updated physical exam and TB test.

  • In-person interview Closed Open

After passing the initial screening, candidates come to our office to meet with the HouseWorks team. This group carefully evaluates the candidate’s motivation, reliability, judgment, initiative, communication and interpersonal skills and professionalism. A candidate must earn the unanimous recommendation of the entire panel to be offered a position at HouseWorks.

  • Education & training Closed Open

All HouseWorks Caregivers who provide personal care services have completed a Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Aide (or equivalent) training program. Additionally, our ongoing training curriculum focuses on developing a core foundation of knowledge related to complex care. Caregivers have embraced our new online training tool Care Academy, a learning management system focused on helping Caregivers in the field learn new skills and manage real-life situations.
