Our story begins, not surprisingly, at home. As the primary caregiver for her aging mother and father, our founder Andrea Cohen saw firsthand the difference that comfort, safety, and familiarity of home can make for older adults. She drew inspiration from personal experience and committed herself professionally to reimagine aging and make caring for seniors at home easier. Founded in 1998, HouseWorks has worked ever since to change the way private in-home care is delivered.

We’ve come a long way in the past 20 years and continue to dedicate ourselves to making life easier for those families who invite us into their homes – whether that means a family home, a local senior housing residence, or any other care setting. Today, our unique BetterCare at Home™ approach guides our work and ensures that every family receives the highest standard of personalized care for their loved one. Greater Boston continues to be our HouseWorks home, but we have begun to expand our Family of Companies to serve families in more communities in the years ahead.
