Dementia Home Care

In-Home Memory Care in Massachusetts

A dementia diagnosis brings a lot of uncertainty. How much care is needed now? What will we need in the future? How can we keep Mom or Dad safe and engaged at home?

HouseWorks recognizes that every person living with dementia or memory loss has a unique situation. This is why our CareTeam will customize a personalized and private ‘memory care at-home’ plan for you. We focus first on safety and structure, but we also keep seniors engaged in activities they love because research shows older adults who remain active have less anxiety and depression.

HouseWorks provides dementia care training to our CareTeams because better understanding and training leads to better care.

Answers to your Dementia Care Questions

  • How much does in home private dementia care cost? Does insurance cover any part of it? Closed Open

We charge by the hour. Our services caring for seniors with Alzheimer’s, dementia and memory loss are not covered by Medicare/Medicaid. You may be eligible for reimbursement from Long-Term Care Insurance. We do not accept payment directly from Long-Term Care Insurance but are happy to submit any information that they need to reimburse you directly.

  • How do you monitor the progression of dementia symptoms? My brother says my mom is fine but I see symptoms progressing? How do I show she's getting worse? Closed Open

Our CareTeams track client health and day-to-day progress. This allows us to catch even the slightest changes in health status so we can intervene sooner.
