Tammy Pozerycki

Tammy Pozerycki has 23 years of experience with working with people living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia, their families, caregivers and healthcare professionals. Tammy is personally familiar with Alzheimer’s as her maternal grandmother lived with the disease for years. It was a firsthand experience on how this affected her family members. Her passion to work with older adults with Alzheimer’s or other dementia and their families is a lifelong commitment.
Tammy has extensive experience in the field of healthcare including long-term care nursing settings, assisted living facilities, adult day services, individual and family counseling, as well as, community-based services for older adults. Her career includes positions as a Social Worker, Alzheimer’s Program Director, Clinical Liaison, and Director of Community Resource Development. Tammy also worked as an independent Geriatric Care Manager. She holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology.
Tammy is a Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer; Certified First Responder Dementia Trainer; and Certified Dementia Practitioner through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. She is the founder and owner of the specialized training and consulting business Alternatives in Alzheimer’s Care™.
